Here we have an Eagle Owl. This bird looks a little miserable, not surprising as it was stood on a pole at Father Xmas Show in Delamere Forest just before Christmas, it cost two pounds to take as many pictures as I wanted. Not to pleasant for the Owl though

A selection of my animal photographs taken around the world.

It was amazing how close these deer let you get to them before they started to move away, probably so used to the people walking close to them all the time, but wary enough to move when they thought the time had come.

Deer taken in Dunham Massey Deer Park is it a Roe Deer I am sadly lacking in deer knowledge.

This was taken at our Caravan in Caernarfon as are a few of my animal pictures, this thing plays havoc with our bird feeders leading to endless repairs, I think the birds get the majority of the food that we put out, it is amazing to watch his acrobatics for hours on end.

The Grey Squirrel against the law to catch and release again

Two amazing carvings in the deer park at Dunham Massey in Cheshire, the carver must have spent hours to do these, I prefer Old Stumpy myself but both are remarkable works of art.

Wood Nymph taken at Dunham Massey, Stumpy’s girlfriend.

Ginger Cow now probably Rump Steak .

Ollie the Ostrich taken at the Welsh Mountain Zoo

A Blue Heron taken at GlanGwna Holiday Park.

I repaired this feeder after the squirrel damage and three weeks later the wire was gone as were all the peanuts. I have done another repair, will have to see how long that lasts.

Blue Tit on a feeder at GlanGwna Note the repair.

I do not think this is my picture but I will replace it when I find mine, I took mine alongside RAF Valley.

Rabbit, the bane of a Golf Club greenkeepers life.

This was taken on a Tuesday and I believe the Park is closed on a Monday for culling purposes so I am not surprised he was a little jumpy, probably lost his brother last night.

Red Deer taken in Tatton Deer Park.

Ugly looking bird, not as good as an Ostrich, apparently they just walk about where they wish.

This is out Kids picture taken in Australia in 2009, I think its a Rhea but not sure.

We found this family on our return from holiday, they had settled into this pipe under one of our flower trough’s. We carried on life as usual in the garden and the parents carried on feeding as if we were not there. We later sat in the garden one day and watched them fledge succesfully.

Blue Tit family that settled in a pipe in the garden.

It amazes me that when you through a little hook into that much water you expect to catch a fish, the two do not compute, however time after time you see them pull something in.

Two lads fishing off Dinas Dinnle in North Wales, we walked up to Fort Belan on a lovely sunny afternoon.

These things were all over the walls around the hotel and any walls along the roads. If you catch them in a morning when cold they are more prepared to pose as they try to warm up their bodies in the morning sun. In the afternoon they are far more lively.

This little chappie is a La Palmian lizard with a blue neck, the secret is to catch them early when they are cold.

These were all waiting for Bert and Gert to arrive with a loaf of bread, as each car arrived they would move closer to the side, they were certainly well fed.

Ducks and Swans on Redesmere.

The Black Labrador. Though it transpired he was not what he was sold as. A good noisy guard dog who does not like people in caps or camouflage clothing, that's me out then.

Rob’s dog, or intruder preventer whichever you prefer. He always has me worried.

A lovely black Tulip. Nothing else to say.

Black Tulip, taken in Louise’s front garden.

Taken in Wales when having lunch at the end of Llyn Cwymstraddlyn we had just finished a disastrous circular walk where we could not find the end of the circle. He came to see what we had for lunch.

Taken against his shed during an outing at the W.M.Zoo one of the first outings with my Tamron Zoom Lens.

I  never realised how difficult it is to work with animals until I actually tried myself you have to persevere and keep shooting.

This bird keeps coming but will not stand still to have his picture taken and the moment he sees you coming he is off, really camera shy.

Just note the beer can behind his head, it just shows the odd places that you find litter.
